Portaramp ramps are manufactured from an Aluminium high-strength, lightweight composite panel with an aluminium honeycomb core. Aluminium’s high strength-to-weight ratio, corrosion resistance, thermal conductivity, and recyclability make it well-suited for applications in transportation industries. The lightweight ramp is easy to position, handle and transport.

We supply direct to all the UK Train Operating Companies, plus many Train Builders and Operators within Europe. Where appropriate the Portaramp portable access ramps have been approved to the European Standard 2008/164/EC National Technical Specification Notice (NTSN).
The Type and production quality management of the Portaramp portable access ramps have been assessed and approved against this standard, for use throughout Europe. Manufactured in accordance and compliant to the relevant Union law. Directive (EU) 2016/797 of 11 May 2016 on the interoperability of the rail system within the European Union (as amended). Satisfies the requirements concerning the Technical Specification of Interoperability relating to “persons with reduced mobility” in the trans-European conventional and high-speed rail system, as stated by the Commission Regulation (EU) No 1300/2014 of 18 November 2014.
The Conformity assessment has been performed by application of Modules CB+CD in respect of compliance Decision 2010/713/EU Valid for the ramps as an Onboard (clause 5.3.2.9) and as a platform ramp (clause 5.3.1.2) of NTSN 1300/2014.
