We are delighted to announce that Portaramp has secured a new rail purchase order in Chile, supporting EFE Central — marking a significant milestone as we expand into a new global region.
This achievement represents Portaramp’s first rail project in Chile and the wider South American market, further strengthening our international presence. While we have successfully delivered projects across the UK, Canada, and the United States, this opportunity demonstrates our ability to enter new markets and deliver effective solutions across continents.

Portaramp was approached via a new tender opportunity for the supply of portable rail ramps to support operational requirements across the EFE Central network. The requirement was to replace an existing solution with 12 new ramps, designed to improve usability, durability, and operational efficiency.
From the outset, our team worked closely with the customer to understand both the technical and operational requirements. The enquiry was led by Louis, who played a key role in developing the solution and guiding the process through to completion.
To support clear communication throughout the project, Portaramp provided technical drawings translated into Spanish, ensuring the customer could accurately interpret the design and approve the solution with confidence.
Through close collaboration, the design was refined to meet both operational needs and accessibility expectations, before progressing to final approval and order placement.

This project is a strong endorsement of Portaramp’s ability to deliver bespoke, high-quality accessibility solutions on an international scale.
We are pleased to have established a new relationship with EFE Trenes de Chile and look forward to delivering these ramps, as well as seeing them in use across their network.
As we continue to grow our presence across global rail markets, this project highlights our commitment to supporting customers worldwide with practical, reliable, and accessible solutions.
