requirements.
We have these products available from stock ready
for your access needs.
Portaramp sponsor the Princes Trust 'Young
Achiever Award'
Portaramp Managing Director Keith Jones said:
"I started my company
Portaramp in 1993 with the help of support from the Princes Trust.
Now
in 2005 I am pleased to be able to support the trust by sponsoring
the young achiever award with their 'celebrate success' program."

Swing Out With Portaramp
This optional extra for the 'Easy Ramp' and 'Eazi-Load' provides clear access
for loading vehicles when the ramp is not in use.
In the upright position the
ramp simply unclips and swings to the side.
When used in a commercial application
the ramp swings clear allowing pallets to be fork lifted directly
into the vehicle saving time and potential damage to goods.
Expansion
into Wales
Talks are currently underway to open a facility at Brecon in
South Wales.
A showroom will include examples from the Modular,
Vehicle, Commercial and Private ranges of ramps.
From this base,
Portaramp will be able to service Wales, the Midlands, Bristol
and the South West of England. Further details will be posted
here when available.
Climb to the top!
These Stair climbers offer a practical solution to disability
access where it is not possible to use conventional ramps.
The
wheelchair version is designed to attach to virtually all wheelchairs
and offers a secure, effective way to climb steps up to a maximum
height of 22cm.
The unit is battery operated, climbs up to 300
steps per charge and has variable speed control.
The alternative
version uses the same strong, durable climbing technology but
has an integral seat making it ideal for people without wheelchairs.
On
The Level
The Portaramp designers have done it again by producing the Gestetner
Platform!
The platform is fully compatible with the company's
portable ramps and provides a platform measuring 1200mm x 1200mm.
It can be used as a corner section to change ramp direction or
to join two portable ramps.
For added versatility the kickledges
are removable and the legs are independently adjustable ensuring
the correct height and platform stability are achieved.
The platform
is produced using lightweight honeycomb material to achieve a
product weight of approximately 17KG.
On the Move
To accommodate increasing demand for both disabled access and
manual handling ramps Portaramp have moved into a 40,000 sq ft,
purpose built manufacturing plant on the outskirts of Thetford in Norfolk.
Following
many months planning, the move took place over the Easter Holidays
and will ensure Portaramp are in a strong position for the future.
Mr
Keith Jones, Portaramp's Managing Director, said, "As well as
providing room for expansion, the move enables us to streamline our manufacturing
and development processes ensuring we continue to produce innovative and
cost effective solutions".
